Let’s try a new place for camping, paddling and fun! Wabasis Lake Campground is just a little over a half hour north of Grand Rapids in Greenville. This event will kick off summer fun and is between Mother’s Day and Memorial Day weekends.
The campground is located within Wabasis Lake Park, a 104 acre county park with more than a mile of shoreline on the 400 acre Wabasis Lake. The campground features 90 spacious sites as well as three rental cabins with lake views. There is a large sandy beach, boat ramp and fully stocked campground store.
The Club has reserved three cabins available first paid/first served at a weekend price of $41/per person based on 4/cabin (sleeps 4-6: two bunk beds and a queen bed; no bathroom or kitchen – you need to bring your own bedding, towels, etc.). You may also reserve a campsite at http://www.kentcountyparks.org/wabasislakecampground/ ($22 for primitive sites and $33 for shared electricity and water).
Weekend plans will be loose and activities finalized at the campground. Fun options are: kayaking, fishing, biking, hiking, swimming, or just relaxing.
For those interested in going out, Friday night dinner will be at 57 Brew Pub (1310 Washington Street - Greenville). Saturday night will be a potluck dinner at 6:00.
Register online and if staying in a cabin send $41 (payable to GGRSC) to Lynne to reserve your spot.
