MEMBER AREA
Member Log in:
Log into the member area using your email address as your user name:
john.doe@comcast.net
If you don't know the email listed in the website database, you can send a request for that information at www.ggrsc@hotmail.com.
Your password is your member ID number. If you don't know what it is, you can have it emailed to you by entering your email address and then clicking the link.
Your name will appear in place of the word “Guest” at the top right corner of the site and you will see the member area page.
Note: If a page doesn't change like you expect it to after clicking a link, move your cursor over the page. This seems to force it to "refresh." We'll be checking this out to see if it can be fixed.
The member area has links for:
- Doing member searches
- Updating your information
- Viewing your payment history
- Viewing the trips and events you have signed up for and for making payments on those trips
Member searches can be made using first and/or last names or using the check boxes next to the appropriate interest. Note that if you type an "R" in the last name and then run the search, you will get every person with an “R” anywhere in their last name, not just those beginning with “R.” This means you will want to type in several letter when doing a search by name.
Search results will come up with information on each member including the email address. You will be able to email right from the listing but at this time a blanket email going out to all the people in the list is not available. You can cut and paste multiple email address into a single email form although that is a bit tedious.
The first time you use this method to send emails, the system will ask for some configuration information. You may be able to get the technical information needed by opening up your email program and clicking on Tools / Accounts and clicking on the mail tab. Then select the row that indicates it is your email system and click “Properties.” Then click the “Connections” tab and you will find information regarding your incoming and outgoing settings. This will help you configure the website email. Once configured, you won’t have to repeat this process.
TRIP REGISTRATION
You can sign up for trips and events that require a trip application. Find the correct event on the HOME PAGE or on the "trips and activities" page and click on the link for registering. Enter the appropriate information and if you desire, you can now make payments for some trips via credit card. Those trips will have a link at the bottom of their information that says "Register Online." Note that you cannot indicate the amount you want to pay. All credit card payment options are fixed by the system YOU STILL CAN PAY BY CHECK, simply mail your check with the completed trip application to the ski club post office box. Also note that a courtesy fee is added to credit card payments.
When viewing trip information, detail information is usually reached by clicking the word "flyer" at the bottom of the activity description. After viewing the detail information, click on the "back" button on your browser to return to the website. Be patient, as this might take a few moments. Remember to run the cursor over the screen to help force a refresh.
